Performance Pro Year-End Appraisal Prep Checklist

Below is a list of tasks that will help you and your team execute streamlined and efficient year-end appraisals.

Communicating about your process

  • Update the welcome message to highlight important due dates and reminders about your appraisal process
  • Review your home screen widgets and make any desired changes to the users home screens
  • Enable automated E-mail alerts for appraisal reminders

System preparation

  • Verify that all appraisals from the previous year have been completed. Follow these instructions to force-complete any remaining open appraisals
  • If your organization utilizes the “Hide Next Appraisal” feature, launch the current appraisal from Company Settings
  • Review and make any necessary edits to Routing paths
  • Pull the Goal Detailed and/or No Goals report(s) to determine if all employees have goals and if the goals total 100% weighting cumulatively for each employee

Update Employee Data

  • Verify that all new employees have been added into Performance Pro
  • Review the Employee Information report and update Employee Data
    • Verify that all employees are assigned to the correct Appraiser(s)
    • Verify that all employees have the correct position

Data Sync to Performance Pro

If you have a data sync in place, you may want to consider pausing the daily update so that managers and/or positions do not change in the middle of an appraisal. As a reminder, competencies (or factors) are tied to the employees’ position. When the position changes, so do the competencies.
