Logging Into TLC
TLC can be accessed in a few different ways, including:
- Directly from it's own URL link - Access the site from the main login screen
- Through Performance Pro using the LMS icon
- Through your intranet or a separate Single Sign-On
If you are a manager and have been assigned an Administrative role within TLC, you will see the Administrator page first. To view your personal training page, click the Your Training Plan icon.
Your personal Training Plan page will display as shown below.
Dashboard (Home Screen)
The dashboard provides you with an instant snapshot of the training you need to complete, as well as your training accomplishments. You can monitor your training progress, start a course or resume a course you previously started.
Menu Bar
The Menu Bar allows you to navigate through TLC, as well as access its numerous features.
Training Plan
The Training Plan lists the courses you are currently taking or have been assigned to take, the status, and your achievements.
Training Courses:
Your Training Plan displays:
- Registered Training – This tab will display courses that have been assigned to you, as well as courses you’ve chosen to take and have started but not yet completed. You can click the title to open the module and then launch the course/exam by selecting Course/Assessment. For Classroom/ILT courses, click on Classroom.
- Position Training – This tab will display courses that have been assigned to employees who have your position.
- Learning Plans - This tab will display courses assigned to you via Learning Plans including the plan name.
- Instructor Training – This tab will show any scheduled upcoming classroom-based/in-person courses, and any upcoming classroom-based courses you’ve registered for.
Click the arrows icon to refresh the contents in your Training Plan.
Status:
- Courses you’ve started but not yet finished (as in Skillsoft courses) or have not yet obtained a passing score on the assessment will show without a Completed status.
- Courses you’ve finished the course or course/exam and obtained a passing score on the assessment, will show Completed.
Achievements:
- Modules completed – this is the number of courses you’ve completed and obtained a passing score on the exam (if applicable).
- Average exam score – this is your average score for all completed
Learning Library:
Courses are sorted into categories and will appear based on topic. Required Trainings will populate at the top of your library as these are the same courses listed under your Registered Training tab.
Click on the category title bar to expand and view all the courses in that category.
Courses that you have started, completed, or are scheduled to take are listed in your Training Plan on your dashboard, but if you have already started or completed a module, a colored bar will also display at the top of the tile indicating your progress.
Search for a Course
Click the Search icon from the menu bar.
Enter the course code or course name (or part of the course name).
Select the course from the search results that appear.
Click Go.
Click Course and/or Assessment (if applicable).
Take a Course
To take a course, click on the Course image/tile.
The course description, the completion status, and a course and/or assessment icon will display.
To launch the course, click on the icon. After completing the course, you can launch the assessment at the end of the course, or click on the assessment icon (if applicable).
Resume a Course
If you are interrupted while working on a course, you can resume where you left off at any time. When you restart the course, you will be asked if you want to continue from where you left off, or restart from the beginning.
You can only resume courses; assessments (exams) must always be started from the beginning, even if you have completed or partially completed it in the past.
To restart a course:
- Select the course you want to resume from your Training Plan on your dashboard.
OR
Open the category on the home screen that contains the course you want to work on, then select the course. - When the module description appears, click the Course icon to open the course. A message appears, asking whether you want to resume the course from where you left off, or restart it from the
- Click OK if you want to return to where you left off, OR click Cancel if you prefer to start the course from the
Update your TLC Profile
Select Profile settings from the TLC 360 Pro menu bar. The Edit my profile screen will appear.
Edit any of the profile fields, as necessary.
To add or update the picture that’s shown on your TLC dashboard, click Change in the Profile picture field, then do the following:
- Click Choose File, select the file you want to use as your profile picture, then click Upload to upload.
- Use the slider to increase or reduce the size of the photo, and/or click and drag the photo to reposition it. If required, click Flip Horizontal, Flip Vertical, Rotate left or right to reposition the photo.
- When you are satisfied with the photo, click Okay.
Click Update to save the changes to your TLC profile.
