If a goal is used frequently or assigned to several employees, managers can save time by creating the goal in My Library and then assigning it to employees.

My Library must be enabled by an Administrative User in order for it to be visible to managers.

Managers can create goals for individual employees on the employee's Goals screen. However, if there is a goal that will be used frequently or assigned to multiple employees, it can save time to create the goal once in My Library, and then use My Library to assign it to employees. If changes to the goal are needed at a later date, the lock/synchronize feature in My Library allows you make the edits once and then push the changes out to all employees who have been assigned the goal.
Create a New Goal in My Library
Set your role to Appraiser.
Click Goals then My Library.
From Select Library, select My Goals.
Click Add New Goal +.
Goal Information Tab
Complete the Goal Name and Description fields.
Select the desired optional settings. They function as follows:
Default Weight – If desired, enter the weight that will automatically appear for the goal on employee screens. It can be changed for individual employees once assigned to them unless Lock Weight is activated.
Due Date – If desired, enter the date the goal will be due. This can be changed for individual employees once assigned to them unless Lock Due Date is activated.
Lock (Name, Description, Action Steps, Weight, Due Date) - If these options are enabled, the field will be un-editable on the employee's goal screens once assigned to them.
Lock to Employee – This option prevents edits or deletion of the goal on the employee's goal screens once it has been assigned to them.
Once all information is entered, click Save.
TIP - Synchronize Edits
Locking ALL aspects of the goal enables you to synchronize edits for all employees to whom the goal is currently assigned. This means you can make edits to the goal from My Library and the edits will appear in all employee records upon saving. This eliminates having to go into each employee’s record individually and make the edits.
Action Steps Tab
To add action steps to the goal (optional), click the Action Steps tab.
Enter the Title, Date, and Description, then click Save.
The action step will then appear in the center of the screen.
Repeat entering Titles, Dates, and Descriptions until all action steps are entered.
When finished, click the X to close the pop-up window.
Delete a Goal from My Library
Click My Library.
From Select Library, select My Goals.
From Select Goal, select the goal you wish to delete.
Click the trash can icon to delete.
Click Delete to confirm.
NOTE
- Deleting a goal in My Library does not delete the goal from individual employees it may have been assigned to.
- Shared Goals cannot be deleted.
