Performance Pro - Adding a Current Goal as an Appraiser - New Interface
Adding a goal is a simple and common task in Performance Pro as goals are at the core of the appraisal process.
Logged in as an appraiser, click Goals.
Select the employee and, from the All Appraisals dropdown, select the default appraisal.
There may be several types of appraisals in this list and your company may have renamed the default appraisal. We will talk more about default and concurrent appraisals in another article, but for now, we’ll focus on the default appraisal.
Click Add Goal then Add New Goal.
On the Goal Information tab, complete these fields:-
- Goal name
- Goal weight (this field may not be visible depending on your company settings)
- Description
- Set a goal due date and click Save.
TIPS
- Keep in mind when performing the appraisal, the goal weights need to add up to 100%. If goal weights are visible, be sure you have weights set appropriately.
- If you would like to apply milestones or action steps to accomplish the goal, add action steps. Action steps are a great tool to track progress on tasks or elements that make up a goal such as quarterly updates or key goal milestones.
Click the Add Action Step plus sign.
Add the action step title, description and due date.
Click Save.
You can add as many action steps as you like by clicking Add Another Action Step.
TIP
Keep in mind, when you perform the actual appraisal, you may need to score these action steps (depending on company settings) along with the associated goal.
