Performance Pro-Manually Adding a New Employee-New Interface
As new employees join your organization, they are required to have a manager assigned and appraisal dates established. Please follow the steps below and as illustrated in the video.
Logged in as an administrator, click System Configuration.
Under Employee Management, click Add New.
Add employee information in the following sections:-
- Employee Info
-
- User Setup. If this employee is an appraiser, you will check Is Appraiser and select items you wish the appraiser to view.
- Appraisal Settings. These fields will auto-populate to your existing annual appraisal settings.
- Salary
- Custom Fields
Once all necessary fields have been completed, click Create Employee.
Passwords can only contain letters, numbers, and underscores and be between 8 and 12 characters in length with a mix of upper and lowercase letters. Special characters such as &, $, or # are not allowed. If a company password is established, it will auto-populate in the password field. When the company password is auto-populated, it will force the employee to change their password when logging in the first time.
Salary
- The Salary fields will not appear if the Salary checkbox is disabled in Company Settings.
- Salary is not a required field within Performance Pro. However, if you are using the merit matrix, salary is required.
Tip
If this employee does not require an appraisal, you can set the appraisal period to a date far in the future so the employee does not get notifications.
