Duplicating Course or Exam Records

Duplicating Course or Exam Records Help for Administrators. Add and maintain courses and exams.

To duplicate a single course or exam record:

  • Select Library from the Admin menu. The Courses screen appears. If duplicating an exam, select the arrow next to Courses, then select Exams.

  • Select the course or exam to duplicate, then click Duplicate on the toolbar.
    The course/exam will be immediately duplicated. Refresh the screen to display the duplicate.

  • To assign the duplicate course or exam a new name, select the record that has ‘- Duplicate’ in the title, then click Edit.

  • When the course properties screen opens, change the course title (i.e., remove ‘- Duplicate’ and assign a new name). If duplicating an annual course, add the new year to the title.

  • Click Update to save.

To duplicate multiple course records:

  • Select Library from the Admin menu. The Courses screen appears.

  • Click Multi Duplicate on the toolbar. The Multi Duplicate Course screen appears:

     

Specify the prefix that you want added to each course name:

  • Select ‘None’ for no prefix.

  • Select ‘Year’ to prepend the current year to the name.

  • Select ‘Custom’ to prepend a prefix of your choice.

Specify a suffix for each course name.

  • Select ‘None’ for no suffix.

  • Select ‘Year’ to append the current year to the name.

  • Select ‘Custom’ to append a suffix of your choice.

  • Specify whether you want to inactivate the original course so that your learners don’t accidentally launch the original course rather than the new one.

  • To duplicate the related exam for the course, select ‘Duplicate associated exam for each course’, then specify a prefix and suffix for the duplicated exam, and specify whether you want to inactivate the original exam.

  • Move the courses you want to duplicate from the Available Courses pane to the Courses to Duplicate pane.

  • Click Update to save.

To duplicate multiple exam records:

  • Select Library from the Admin menu. The Courses screen appears.

  • Select the arrow next to Courses, then select Exams.

  • Click Multi Duplicate on the toolbar. The Multi Duplicate Exams screen appears:
