Creating and Deleting Goals in MyLibrary - Performance Pro

If a Goal is used frequently or assigned to several employees, save time by creating a Goal in My Library and then assign it to employees.

A Goal can be created for an individual employee on their Employee Goal Tools screen. However, if there is a Goal that will be used frequently or assigned to multiple employees, it can save time to create the Goal once in My Library and then use My Library to assign it to employees. If changes to the Goal are needed at a later date, the lock/synchronize feature in My Library allows you make the edits once and then push the changes out to all employees who have been assigned the Goal.

To create a new Goal in My Library

Set your role to Appraiser.

From the main menu, under Employee Documents, click Employee Goal Tools.

Click the My Library tab.

From the Type dropdown, select My Goals.

Click Add Goal.

Complete the Name and Description fields.

Select the desired optional settings. Optional Settings function as follows:

Default Weight – If desired, enter the weight that will automatically appear for the Goal on employee screens. It can be changed for individual employees on Current/Future Goals screens unless Lock Weight is activated here.

Due Date – If desired, enter the date the Goal will be due. This can be changed for individual employees on Current/Future Goals screens unless Lock Due Date is activated here.

Lock (Name, Description, Action Steps, Weight, Due Date) - If these options are chosen, the field will be un-editable on Current/Future Goals screens.

Lock to Employee – Choose this option if you would like to prevent edits or deletion of the Goal on Current/Future Goals screens once it has been assigned.

Note: Locking all aspects of the Goal enables you to synchronize edits for all employees to whom the Goal is assigned. This means you can make edits to the Goal from the My Library screen and the edits will appear in all employee records upon saving. This eliminates having to go into each employee’s record individually and make the edits.

If you want to add Action Steps to the Goal, click the plus sign by the Action Steps heading.

In the popup that appears, enter Action Step information then click Save in the popup box.

When all information has been entered, click Save at the bottom of the screen. The Goal will now appear in the My Goals dropdown list.

To delete a Goal in My Library

Set your role to Appraiser.

From the main menu, under Employee Documents, click Employee Goal Tools.

Click the My Library tab.

From the Type dropdown, select My Goals.

From the Available Goals dropdown, select the desired Goal.

Click Delete.

Click OK.

Click Save at the bottom of the screen.

Note: Shared Goals cannot be deleted.
