Managers - Default versus Concurrent Appraisal
This article describes the difference between the Default Appraisal and a Concurrent Appraisal.
The "default appraisal" is the main appraisal in Performance Pro that, once completed, will automatically cycle forward to a new appraisal for the following year. The Performance Pro Admin can update the frequency of the default appraisal from annually to quarterly.

A concurrent appraisal is an additional appraisal that will run side-by-side with the default appraisal and will not cycle forward. Concurrent appraisals are often used for new hires to provide for a 30, 60, or 90-day evaluation. The concurrent appraisal can also be project-based and/or used for career development.
