This article shows how to manually assign or delete concurrent appraisals from employees. It also covers how a manager can assign a concurrent appraisal, if this feature is enabled.
Manually Assign a Concurrent Process to Employees (Administrative Users)
NOTE
The concurrent appraisal process must be assigned to the employee in order for the appraisal to be performed.
Click System Configuration then Content Management.
From the Additional Appraisal Settings area, click Appraisal Process.
Open the appraisal process by clicking the Edit icon.
Click OK on the warning message.
Click NEXT: Assign.
Click the employee from the Employees column on the left side, then the single right arrow to move the employee to the Assigned to Employees list.
TIP
You can hold down the Ctrl key and click multiple employees to select more than one employee at a time.
You can use the Filter By options to filter the employees list to only show the filtered position, department, location, or division.
Click Assign Positions and Dates.
The position shown will default to the employee's assigned position in Employee Data. If this is the correct position to base this appraisal on (meaning this position has the competencies you want evaluated), no change is needed to this field. If a different position is appropriate, choose it from the dropdown.
TIP
There may be circumstances for which a position with different competencies may be needed for a unique concurrent appraisal process. For example, you may evaluate your tellers on a different set of competencies at 30 days than you do on the annual appraisal. In this case, you could set up a “30-day Teller” position for the 30-day appraisal and a “Teller” position for the annual appraisal.
Enter the appraisal start date, end date, due date, and self-appraisal due date (if applicable) for each employee.
TIP
If all the employees should have the same dates, you can enter the dates in the row above the table then click the Apply Dates to All checkbox. This will copy the dates into each employees’ corresponding date fields.
When all fields are populated, click Save.
NOTE
Concurrent appraisals can be auto-assigned for new hires and also for position changes. See Auto Assigning Concurrent Appraisals for more information.
Unassign a Concurrent Appraisal Process from an Employee
Click the employee from the Assigned to Employees list then click the single left arrow.
Click Assign Positions & Dates. Click Save.
Manually Assign a Concurrent Process to Employee (Managers)
If Hide Appraisal Process Tab is not activated (in Company Settings), managers will have the ability to assign a concurrent appraisal process to their employees.
Click Appraisals & Forms.
Select the employee.
Click Add New+ then New Appraisal.
Select the appraisal process name, the position to base the appraisal on, and the appropriate dates. Click Save.
NOTE
Administrative Users can also assign concurrent appraisal processes to employees using this method.
