Generating a Course or Exam Key
Generating a Course or Exam Key Help for Administrators. Add and maintain courses and exams.
You can generate a key (transcript) for some of our courses and exams in the TLC library (not for Skillsoft courses). Exercise caution when distributing copies of course and exam keys to ensure that they are not circulated to all employees.
If it appears that nothing happens when clicking Course Key or Exam Key, your browser may have pop-up blockers enabled or the course key is not available for the selected course. Refer to the instructions for your browser under FAQ’s How do I set up my browser to run TLC?
To generate an exam key:
-
Select Library from the Admin menu to populate the Course screen. If you want to generate an exam key, click the arrow next to Courses, to open the folders, then select Exams.
-
Use the search, sort, or filter functions to locate the course or exam you want to generate the key for.
-
Select the course or exam to highlight it, then click Course Key or Exam Key on the toolbar.
To work with the content in the key, do any of the following:
-
To move the key to a word processing application, select the entire contents of the window, then copy and paste it into your word processing application.
-
To print the key, either use your browser’s Print function, right-click and select Print from the menu that appears or use the keyboard shortcut 'CTRL P'.
