Company Settings > Appraisal Settings > Goal Settings and Descriptions

Listed below are descriptions for Goal Settings under the Appraisal Settings tab. When setting changes are made, please remember to click save at the bottom of the Performance Pro page.

 

Goal Settings Description of Setting
Edit Approval Allows an employee to propose changes to a current goal that the appraiser created and then submit the edit for approval to the Appraiser.
Divide Weights Evenly Evenly distributes the individual goal weights. The appraiser will be restricted from changing the weights if they are divided evenly.
Enable Business Goals Turns on the business goals goal type.
Employees Can Add Goals Allows the employee to add current goals to their appraisal.
Employees Can Add Goals: Individual Allows the employee to add individual goals to their current appraisal.
Employees Can Add Goals: Business Allows the employee to add business goals to their current appraisal.
Require Future Requires Future Goals be added to an appraisal before it can be marked "Ready."
Require Future: Employee Requires employees to add Future Goal before they can mark "Ready."
Require Future: Appraiser Requires appraisers to add Future Goal before they can mark "Ready."
Require Future: Multi-Appraiser Requires multi-appraisers to add Future Goal before they can mark "Ready."
Rate Action Steps Allows individual ratings for each Action Step of a Goal.
Rate Action Steps: Require Rate Action Steps If enabled, appraisers will be asked to score each individual Action Step, not simply the overall score. They can override the final score calculation by entering a different score.
Rate Action Steps: Prohibit Override When enabled, the appraiser will not have the ability to override the final score for the goal.
My Library When checked, the My Library feature is enabled.  This allows admins to share master goal categories with appraisers and allows appraisers to create their own Goal Libraries to assign to employees in current or future appraisal cycles.
Set Progress Enables a widget on the Goal evaluation screens which allows appraisers and employees the ability to indicate progress on goals. This widget does not impact the actual goal score.
Set Progress: Display as Percentage Allows goal progress to be tracked as a percentage rather than Not Started, In Progress or Complete.
